"Alps and Balkans" manuscript, 1894.

Typescript manuscript used as prompt copy for the original production in London,1894. The original title, Alps and Balkans, still appears in this copy. The title later changed to Arms and the man in the first published edition in 1898. The three acts of the play are each in a separately labelled paper binder. Contain handwritten stage directions, possibly written by A.E. Drinkwater, the director. Housed in modern clamshell box.
